Healthcare Sunday had its origins in the UK in the ‘90s and has since then spread further afield. It is observed on the third Sunday of October, and presents an opportunity for faith communities to become aware of the needs of healthcare workers, as well as encourage greater involvement in the healthcare field.
Next year’s Healthcare Sunday will take place on 15 October 2017, in case you need this information when printing your church calendar a bit later this year.
