Christian Medical Fellowship of South Africa
CMF exists with a view to helping Christian doctors, dentists and other health workers (pre- and post-graduate) to grow in their faith and witness, and to find Christian answers to the many ethical and other problems we face in the profession.
We believe that this is an important time for strengthening and encouraging one another. We need to learn from one another how to integrate spiritual gifts and medical skills for the sake of our patients and colleagues and to our Lord's glory.

The Centre for Contextual Ministry (University of Pretoria) and HospiVision presents:
2nd Biennial Conference on Spirituality and Healthcare: Wholeness in Healthcare
Cape Town (20-21 October 2016) and Pretoria (24-26 October 2016)
Illness can cause an existential and ontological crisis for people as it confronts them with the fragility, vulnerability and the finitude of the human condition. This experience is intensified when children are involved or affected. Healthcare professionals meet people in this space of disarray, many of them from a sense of calling. This conference will bring together leading experts, as well as a wide range of perspectives and disciplines to explore the ways in which spirituality interacts with healing, growth and wholeness in healthcare. The keynote speakers are Professor Christina Puchalski fr om the George Washington Institute for Spirituality and Health and Professor Nicolene Joubert from the Institute for Christian Psychology (application for CPD points at HPCSA (including ethics), as well as CPD points for Social workers , Ministers of religion and SAAP are in process and details will be provided closer to the conference).
